Our defending has been terrible in the last two games . It's alright saying its only pre season but we cant be conceding goals for fun against sides who were in the lower reaches off step 5 & 6 last season . Were only two games from the real stuff now and a big improvement is needed .

think all will be revealed one way or the other come kick off.
we can all pontificate till the cows come home
BUT no matter how you try and wrap it up how much debating you do
at the end of the day only one club can win the league AND one will finish bottom.
thats a fact, from the premiership down.
if our level is pub football ? so be it,
we are going to find out shortly....thats for sure

I think we've put together a good squad capable of doing well at this level , but the defending has been alarmingly bad in three games this pre season all against sides from lower level's . As you say mate the real stuff will show us what the situation actually .

If the managers have not sorted out the defence before the serious stuff starts, then I honestly think it will be an uphill task just to stay in this league. Having not seen any of the friendlies, I cannot comment on whether the new recruits solve the problem of lack of pace. One thing is obvious though ,the two centre backs from last season will certainly not cope. The form at the end of last season spoke volumes. One win from the last eight games! Carry that forward and we cannot hope to be competative.

Pre-season is for trying formations and things out, building fitness. The managers have said that they would be using this game and the Sutton game to do that, and that's exactly what they have done.
Softley, Green and Recci all not there last night who IMO would be in contention for starting the first game in defence.
The managers and players have noted about the errors in post match interviews too. its not like they are not aware of it, and doing nothing about it.
