Just a quick question ...
If you're under 17 and purchased a ST .... but now cant bring an adult with you ..... (be it one game or all season) will the club offer a full refund due to change of circumstances????
And does this apply to all the under 17's Town teams who are issued with a ST ?
So it may end up that the club kick out there own players 🙄

Simple solution

1. Reverse the rule/ban.
2. Photograph any future culprits during the next incident. Everyone seems to l know who they are, so it should be dead easy to identify them. Put their photo in the home turnstile and apply the rule to them. Only them.
3. Name and shame on here.
They do exist-saw them at the Hinckley game. They were drinking there, too. But I agree-it is only a few. A few examples made will deter the rest. Not right to punish all.

Just kick out the bad roots - attendances aren’t exactly massive so you can pick the kids out, they have said on Facebook they have spoken to them and nothing has changed so they clearly know exactly who they are.
Last time I went boro though the people making this decision had no issue with these kids singing about digging up corpses and sleeping with them so surprised they done this to be honest

The reasons given by the Club are understandable but a sad reflection on the impact of social media etc.
Very happy memories of making my own way and attending games at Manor Park and Villa Park well before I was 17.

It is a shame. And not a decision taken lightly.
The club have done quite a bit to try and find a solution, including:
- monitored the situation from last season into this season
- spoken directly to groups of young people at two games pre-season when incidents have happened
- issued a warning to young people which was not followed
- consulted with the police and others
- researched what other non league clubs have done in similar circumstances recently (there are quite a few clubs experiencing the same thing and all having to find ways to deal with it), and considered what course of action to take
- deliberated over this for several weeks
They've done this all while preparing for life at Step 4 which comes with a whole host of new responsibilities and requirements, that we are all still learning.
I am sure the club will continue to review the situation, and there have been some useful suggestions that have been made on Facebook and elsewhere which I'm sure will be taken into consideration.

Just out of interest Mark if you don’t mind me asking if you have spoken to the lads at two games this season why don’t you just ban them since they are known to club reps who they are.
If they are under 17 they now can’t come without an adult either way

It has to be nipped in the bud now, because as guests, we cannot afford to give our hosts a bad name. Or cause us to get us evicted.
You are right Mark, in that there are precedents for other clubs having to take direct action. Regrettable but it is life in 2026.
Some of the posters elsewhere have been a bit naughty imho, by trying to suggest that this is a draconian move . It is not. It is just the way life is nowadays.
I do think the Junior ID card with an option/sanction of withdrawing it if necessary later, is a brilliant idea though. Getting in for a quid is a privilege-not a right. These lads need to know that it is a privilege that can be withdrawn.
I believe it's called "tough love" nowadays.

There's been some helpful suggestions on Facebook, but also there has been a lot unhelpful piling on too which does not help* the club volunteers deal with the situation at all.
*I'm understating it a bit here! 😅
