Shepshed highlights have just been released on youtube. (Sent to me last night. Back to back work meetings up until now, so no time to review beforehand). Just wanted to post links on to social media but the website we do that on is currently down, so having to wait until it is back up!

If you want me to outline the process of how players join the club, are registered with the league, shared with the media team and then released the fanbase, I am more than willing to. But it will probably bore people to tears and not be retained.
If you have any ideas about how the media team can announce new players joining the club (or leaving for that matter), please feel free to suggest them, although you may end up with a volunteer role :)

I heard a former player is coming back but not from the town era more the boro era. Talking ginelly time that what i was told. I have feeling who could be but will wait and see.
Its a shame the team that brought two seasons of success is breaking up. Its like whats happening at Villa. I think we are starting to feel the affect of money restrictions we have sadly. Just not got the money to either keep or lure players. Of course old skool boro would have threw just chucked the money out to get certain players... but we learnt outcome of what happens when you do that.

400 on the gate is the budget....thats set even if we were getting 1000 the budget wouldn't move.
Maybe we should of gone down the percentage route. The better we are the more turn up, the more turn up the better the budget.
As it is now I belive ( im sure someone will corrcet me )
All " spare " money goes in the back to Nuneaton account.
No we dont want to go down the chase the dream route again but to hold the current gates you need to be there or there abouts in any league youre in

A budget is an estimate to help control costs within it.
Saying 400 is the budget becomes a negative acceptability.
If 200 more are being achieved, then you need to under pin somewhere in between to achieve growth.
The surplus will only help the long term objectives.
Simply allowing 600 to dissipate to 400 just because that’s the budget is madness imo…

The playing budget is BASED ON a gate of 400 - that does not mean that the whole of 400 people's entry fee is the budget.

Nobody said it did!
In business operations has to out perform sales, otherwise you have a customer service issue.
Not giving fans (customers) what they perceive as acceptable will lose business.
Whatever the complexities of the budget, when sales grow then variable costs grow too.
The business I work for operates a fleet of lorries…and hires additional when necessary.
Losing fans is never going to drive the club forward.
The secret is…invest some, save some.

Perhaps the Club need to explain what the make-up of the budget actually is, not giving figures but just detailing what percentage of Adults, Concessions & Juniors contribute to the overall total & how season ticket sales fit in to the budget?
I have asked this question before, without an answer.
I realise VAT has to be deducted from the Income.
I also agree with Atty Boro, the message presented gives out a negative vibe.

To be honest, I do not care how they arrive at the budget figure , as long as expenditure does not exceed income. Spending more than you have coming in puts you on the road to ruin.
We have been down that road a few times before.

I'm not even sure 400 is a real budget figure as ptgers income comes into play. Its a measure they arrived at as a cut off point so that funds from any attendance above would go into the Back to Stockingford fund.
No other club round here has this odd measure but it works for us at the moment.
I'm never going to complain about the accounts they show us every month, its presented at a level most of us can understand IMO.

Yep I think the intention was to be transparent and accountable.
400 is set a figure to be competitive at this level.
Ultimately the priority has to be to get back to Nuneaton. We need that for a future. Even our recruits from other areas will agree with that.
It wasn’t so long ago we were meeting every couple of weeks in Bermuda wondering if we would even have a club.
We have to keep the faith!

'Spare' money (after VAT has been deducted).
Mickleover £932 from 212 additional spectators.
Coleshill Town £266 from 107 additional spectators.
I'm not sure those figures add up!?
I would question whether the full amount due has been transferred to the 'Back to Nuneaton' fund, unless LH has a mysterious calculation of his own making?...he is an Accountant!

If it is the case that we are about to sign someone from the JG era, then it would be hard to guess who, as there were so many players that it was like a revolving door. From memory there were not many that stood out, apart from the guy currently at Telford, and it is not likely to be him.
