If it turns out to be impossible finding a place to build a ground within Nuneaton then we might have to look at somewhere a bit out of the box . It might be our only option .

Hinckley Leicester Road.
Use the cash in the 'Back to Nuneaton' fund to lay a new pitch.
You will then have a National League standard Stadium to play in with Bars & a Restaurant & adequate parking.

Think for most fans (not me, its very local) that would be a last resort if we got kicked off the Oval or promoted beyond the Ovals facilities.
Note to self, 'be careful what you wish for'

Town's Board need to be prepared for any eventuality, there cannot be a last resort approach.
Hinckley Leicester Road is a good quality National League Stadium, with excellent facilities, not only the Main Stadium but the other Community pitches.
The Boro have trained on their 3G pitch.
They were very accomodating, at short notice, after the eviction.
The midweek game against Bromsgrove Sporting was the last game I attended.
The Stadium needs a new pitch, I remember commenting at the time that pitch needed renovating & after the embarrassing pre-season debacle over the cancellation of the Brackley Town fixture, the pitch has clearly further deteriorated.
Edit:
Playing at the Oval has a limited shelf life in terms of Town's progression upwards in the Pyramid.

The Council don’t have any money at all.
At the scrutiny meeting this week the officer said the football club would have to pay for any investigations on the six proposed sites.
I don’t believe the current administration are acting in good faith. We won’t be rushed translates as we’re going to kick the can down the road as long as we can while paying lip service.
Its poor after a promise was made previously and Vale View would have benefitted the area it was in terms of facilities and economic benefit.
I’m not sure how this will be resolved now without either strong public noise and criticism of the Council or something eventually happening at Liberty Way. It’s very annoying!

The fact that the Council don't have any money (!?) is not relevant to the Site Investigations.
The Developer has to stand the cost of carrying out the Site Investigations as part of the Planning Application/Process.
Also, not forgeting, the cost of the reinstatement.
An extensive Site Investigation at Vale View plus the cost of reinstating the current amenity, coupled with the cost of employing the Consultant Civil & Structural Engineer to produce a Report/Recommendations, would virtually wipe out Town's 'Back to Nuneaton' fund.
You mention 6 sites, what are the other two?
You seem to have changed tack on Liberty Way, is that now significant?
Edit:
It is totally unreasonable for the Council to expect NTFC to carry out Site Investigations on six (?) sites, a ridiculous position to put the Club in, at this stage.

Re: New Ground

You misunderstand
We haven’t reached that stage of the process
The council have reopened the whole thing. So at this stage they are identifying a suitable site
.
Given the council have reopened the whole thing they would normally be expected to fund the process but they have said they won’t,
There is no application or developer at they point so your point is wrong in this context.
I will dig out the relevant paper and edit this post so you can read it. If I post the sites before then you will get over excited
First edit - I see you have edited your post now and your ending is more sensible than your original post.

Thanks for this Gustavus.
Eureka!
My advice to NTFC's Board now would be to ZERO-IN on AVENUE ROAD & don't waste any more time looking at the other proposed sites.
The cost of a Site Investigation & producing the other biodiversity/ecological reports should be a lot more manageable at the Avenue Road site.
Regarding Vale View, I would refer the Board to the problems that Scarborough Athletic have faced at their Stadium, where the pitch drainage has failed & the remediation works to rectify the problem & lay a new 3G pitch is costing £3million+ all paid for by North Yorkshire Council, who own the Stadium.
The long term problem at Vale View could be the prospect of settlement/differential settlement on that site, given the underlying ground conditions, this has to be considered if this site is preferred/chosen.
Also, the unknown extent of the potential exceptional costs due to the ground conditions that could be encountered on that site, which will have to be paid for by NTFC.
Edit:
As an aside Gustavus, is there still a glimmer of hope at Liberty Way?
I respect your choice not to answer that question.

It will be down to allowable Stadium capacity.
If both sites can achieve a 4,000 capacity, then it will be down to cost.
Once the two comparative costs are known, then the decision will be made by the Board, presumably after consultation with the Supporters.
