Land at the other end of dog shit bridge?
End of Stoney road - triangle of land next to rail lines - think it was once allotments.
Access from Stoney rd and right next
To the other end of dog shit bridge. Nothing earmarked on it on the Borough plan.
Walking access from Weddington, the town centre and Camp hill and tucked away out of site behind the railway junction.
Who knows who dares to dream?

I said as much yesterday to AV. The access off Tuttle hill is no problem, but the fact that there is an old bridge, and a single track road would make it a very expensive undertaking. The site itself would be suitable.
I still believe, as someone mentioned on saturday, that there is plenty of land at the back of the tip that should be looked at as it is not suitable for housing.

IMO the sites rubbish .. no way will the council allow access onto Tuttle Hill.. accident waiting to happen ... and its hardly gonna be somwhere you will rent out with children involved getting to and from the site.
Greenmore Road has got to be the site thoroughly looked into..... it has the potential to become a sports hub, not just football.

The last time the council offered the Jubilee centre a meeting was held - the local residents went mad and wouldn’t even let the club have a say.
Forget sites surrounded by close proximity housing. No one in Nuneaton will want a football ground outside their house in the 21st century.
Residents around Manor Park were made up when the ground went.
So many sites mentioned on here - most are pie in the sky. All sites that exist will require development and access costs.
Town will be at Bedworth for years if not decades.
Getting anything built in today’s Britain is so difficult - the planning system is a mine field and construction costs are massive. I worked in construction for years so understand the issues.
People interested should look at the Borough plan or even scan google earth and describe what land is seen, what exists within the towns boundaries and see if it has potential. Having done this so many times I see very few sites. Boro failed 20 odd years ago - what makes people think there will be a quick outcome this time when fewer sites exist?
Losing Liberty way was bad enough but losing Manor Park was tragic.
Who knows what’s down the line but one things for sure it’s gonna be a long and hard road.
Who knows who dares to dream?

I identified that piece of land (amongst others) over a year ago, and you are right, it ticks all the boxes. Vehicle access is a little tricky, but not a show stopper.
However, when we approached the council, they confirmed it was allocated to another project.
However, if that should ever change, I think Dog Shit Bridge Park is an excellent name.

There is some next to the old Ashby and Nuneaton joint line I think. Was a farm there - other side of the river from Sandon park.

I think a senses check is now required?
Assuming NTFC are not/or will not be in a position to buy a suitable piece of land to build their new Stadium in the future, the other alternative is to lease a piece of land off a landowner.
This does not have to be NBBC.
I have already mentioned the Deeley Group, in a reply to an earlier post by SL.
Likewise Arbury Estates.
I would also recommend that the football club contacts Savills in Birmingham. They have a specialist team who source suitable pieces of land for Clients.
Howkins & Harrison in Rugby are also worth a try, they are rural land agents & know Warwickshire very well, as they are in touch with the farming community.
A few suggestions!
Just my thoughts!

I know where you mean. I don't think the old iron bridge tha gives it access is suitable for anything other than light vehicles though.

It’s at the end of Stoney rd so access works - doh shit bridge that spanned the old stone sidings is pedestrian access.

Used to sit on the steps of dogshit bridge as you could see the WCML and the Birmingham line at the same time.

Carried my bike up those steps every day on my way to Manor Park school. The bridge was aptly named. Just mentioning it brings the smell back to me!

Not sure if this is the same land but theirs pitches next to Nuneaton Old Eds rugby ground, Weddington way walkable from town centre. Anker pub oppoisite, maybe able to strike a deal with old eds to utalise part of the car park. Perhaps even agree for segregated games for the away fans to use club house.

Sandon Park like Pauls Land was gifted to the town and there are too many restrictions to ever be developed. Similar with the land at the old Ed`s but I agree the land at the bottom of Stoney Road/Dog shit bridge is sitting there doing nothing although a rumor I heard a yew years back is flats are planned in the future. Sad, it would be a good place
