Just curious…do you think the no9 we have is:
a) good enough
b) a centre forward
?

Atems ok he's not been chosen much as a starter, scored 3. Got great reception from fans yesterday but so did Wes. Hopefully we can sign a top striker at this level now we are in top 3.

My point is; Atem is not a bad player, but is clearly not a natural centre forward.
My philosophy is, work on your weaknesses, even if those weaknesses are adequate.
Adequate can be improved on.
Take the goalkeeper for instance, Finn had some good games, made some very good saves, but had flaws (corners/crosses).
He has been replaced by someone better in those areas.
The position that is the biggest concern now is definitely centre forward.

Agree he is not a goalscorer, yes he will run but always gets beaten by a defender in the air ,does not jump for it and does not seem to beat the defender on the floor either.
We definitely need a goalscorer.

However, if the correct striker is not available, we could always announce a novelty shirt.
That’ll keep the momentum going.

Could always run a blackout for the next player to leave .

Wes was subbed on the far side and it must have took him 20 mins to get to the dug out so many boro fans wanted to shake his hand or talk to him as you say great reception .

Was a good workmanlike performance, we were tight, didn't create much, took our chances but Rugby were pretty average.
Great vocal support from our fans in second half though.

We could do with a further forward if we can find one within budget apart from that were competitive against anyone in this division .

problem with management......
for every winner there is a loser... FACT
again....dont concede you start with a point... and U DONT lose. FACT
i know it sounds boring.... like me.
but it sure as hell knocks the spots off say a 4-3 defeat....
every day of the week every week of the year.
ps. i will back that against any argument put forward
for success
to add; played 7 lge games since the trophy hammering
conceded FOUR !!!!........ points gained 18 from 21
the figures speak for themselves
we can afford to wait for the RIGHT striker or indeed any future signings
ps its the sabbeth so im now sober :-)

I think we're in alot better position now ( no pun intended ) to attract players with the league position we're in.
Players will see that as a masive positive to sign
with a possible promotion on there CV .
