Football returns tonight at Wheatsheaf Park ...

STFC are pleased to announce that the Football Club is now fully functional and operational after the recent disastrous flooding. Despite two-thirds of the pitch being underwater for over a fortnight, the grass, thankfully, has not been seriously affected.
Graham and his ground staff have worked extremely hard to get the pitch back to its normal high standards, and we look forward to resuming play on it. We do however have a Reserve team cup game on it tomorrow (Wednesday 26th Feb, 7:30 v Hayes & Yeading) which we hope will help us get back towards a semblance of normality.
The changing rooms and teabar were particularly badly affected by the flooding, but with the help of a small team which included Marcus, followed by a deep clean from John 'Gooner' Blair, these areas are now also back to a satisfactory operational level, although we do still have some work to do on the doors and door-frames which, as you might expect, have become slightly warped.
Please come along to the Reserves tonight, and more importantly to see the return of Skrill South soccer when the First Team entertain FA Trophy finalists Gosport Borough on Saturday 8th March ... Ken Williams
