I read the managers comments in the programme with interest. The performance did noter witness to his words. The penalty was a disaster. However, our first goal was hardly out of any coaching manual. Our second was probably the move of the match, and Wass completely the work of a substitute attacker,who was streets ahead of any other attacking player on the field. The defending again was disorganised - they didn't e4ven know if they were supposed to be holding a line or not. There was no organisation, playing like schoolboys surrounding the ball instead of marking a man and going with the runners. The midfield, to me, should be the engine room, getting up when we have the ball to support the front players sand when ee lose possession be there to provide the first line of defence to protect the back three. It was non-existent in team format. There were some good individual performances, but as a team, we were shocking. The Isthmian League supporters put us in 11th place in their forecast final league table. We should take that now and get ready for next season.
