Firstly, I am not sure the debt to the Thames Club is even recorded in STFC Ltd books. Joe always said the main creditor (circa £200k\0 was money he had ||"loaned\' the club for legal fees. This doesn't really matter, a winding up order has been issued, The Thames Club starting the court procedings. The liquidator will be looking to realise the assets, a lawn mower, a roller and 2 kinder eggs. It is not enough to pay off any creditors and STFC Ltd will become insolvent. As for new leaseholders, we have to hope that Staines and Lammas will be able to afford the payments. A new club is a non-starter, there is no fairy godmother who has the cash to spare to take on a new lease, rise up the pyramid quickly enough to get even Isthmian League football back at Wheatsheaf Park. The main worry is that will the new club, Staines and Lammas, have facilities in place at the end of the current season. If we win the league, but can't get promotion, we lose a lot of good players at the current level. It will then be a real back to the drawing board job.
