A long slow demise

Apart from a few random, bizarre posts resurrecting halcyon days or looking at lies, damn lies and statistics, this forum has been very quiet. Should it become a forum for a Combined Counties team which has arisen out of the ashes of Staines Town Football Club? Or should it fade into the mists of time.

Historically, when Matthew sold the football club, he didn't. The football club still exists and is, as far as I am aware, still registered with the Fa. Those buying what they thought was the football club, did after due diligence (Was always assured they did their due diligence) purchased Staines Town Football Club Limited. The petition to liquidate the limited company was started in August 2022, nearly 3 years ago. It is still not complete. It survived for so long because the directors decided that the limited company was still a going concern. The limited company was technically insolvent and survived by increasing funding from the directors, which it would never be able to repay unless the football club achieved its league status within 10 years of the takeover. After this time the liquidation of the limited company should be completed, after all these years. It has no assets. The liquidator is paid first (from no funds) and lastly the creditors - who will get nothing.

Similarly, after all these years, do we rename the forum for the current side, or wind it up with many happy memories?
