The Massive message board is probably the last remaining memory of Staines Town Football club and is held in memory and respect for our deceased club. However the lack of participation tells a story in itself and
as much as I love Staines and Lammas FC, it cannot hold a place in my heart like Staines Town did and that sentiment I feel will hold true for many people, those who have abandoned their support as it is no longer Staines Town FC would jump at the chance to come back and support their club if the original name was resurrected.
My personal view is that Staines and Lammas will never achieve the same heights in its present guise and the only logical choice would be to reform as the original club. I know some people would be disappointed at losing the Lammas title but realistically it is probably the only way forward unless a rich beneficiary can be found to pump serious wonga into the club and that ain’t happening any time soon I’m guessing….
