How do you stop slotted shelving from wobbling once it is loaded?

We built a run of shelving in our store room in Deira using slotted angle shelving metal and it looked solid when it was empty, but the moment we started loading it up with tinned goods and boxes, the whole thing started swaying whenever someone bumped into it. Nothing has collapsed yet but it makes me nervous, especially since staff walk past it constantly. I followed the basic instructions, bolted the uprights to the wall at the top, tightened everything down, but it still has this flex in the middle section. Is there something I am missing, like cross bracing or a specific way to anchor the feet, or did I just buy angle that is too light for the weight we are putting on it. Also how do you deal with uneven floors because our store room is old and nothing sits level. Would rather fix this properly than wait for it to give way.
