Well Arriving back at wheatsheaf park today it was hard to believe nearly 3 months had passed since the 4-5 defeat against Basingstoke..
If only the weather for next 9 months could be as good for watching football. OK not so good for the guys on the pitch but you have to admit there is something special about watching football in shorts a tee shirt and sun glasses.
The Pitch looked amazing and credit should go to the grounds staff, we all know that the playing surface will remain at the same standard throughout the season whatever the weather throws on it .
Slightly surprised the club charged £10 admission . maybe £5 and kids under 16 free would have been fairer but hey what do I know
The game was to coin a football cliché ''a game of two halves''
Senior players starting the first half and fringe players staring the second half , a very well drilled Reading side provided a good test and all in all a draw would have been a fairer result.
So off we go again for the 2014/15 conference south merry go round. there will be highs and lows. and I would like to wish all the players and staff good luck , and to the fans don't forget
'' its all swings and roundabouts''
