seen the first two results from afar-simply confirms my concerns after the first pre season friendly. To be thrashed by FARNBOROUGH at home -embarrassing -I can see us at the bottom of the table at end of August and that will mean one thing relegation.
Realise that had the new owners not come forward then club would have have been closed down, as it was clear during the second half of last season that Matthew was no longer prepared/able to put any more money into the club.
Sadly, although well meaning the new guys have discovered very quickly a few home truths-you must have a manager experienced at this level, good connections with clubs at our level and with senior clubs in the area. Sadly coaching qualifications mean very little ,experience is everything .
Simply does not work recruiting players who have never played at this level who are prepared to play for peanuts and expect them to be able to raise their game with a few weeks coaching.In the long run it will cost more money to get out of the leagues below than it will to invest in experienced players now and have a fighting chance of survival in the southern.
