Pay isn't everything: what I look for in contracts now
Views: 13
When I started taking travel contracts, weekly pay was always the first thing I checked. After a few assignments, my priorities have definitely changed.
Now I look at the schedule, facility, location, housing costs, and how much support I'll get before and during the assignment. A higher rate isn't always worth it if everything else makes those 13 weeks stressful.
When looking at allied health opportunities, I also check https://tlcallied.com/. They offer travel jobs and support with things like licensing, credentialing, and housing.
These days, I'd rather choose a contract that fits my life and career goals than simply chase the highest paycheck.
