There is a lot to be said for leaving part of a design quiet. A plain hood or an uninterrupted door can make a small accent feel intentional instead of unfinished. I've been thinking about that while building a gallery of Tesla wrap designs. A busy texture may be impressive when viewed flat, but I still want to see whether its main idea survives when it is wrapped around the car and viewed at a smaller size.
