I've just read the Get Surrey post match report with quotes from Tommy brewer and listened to Marcus Gayle on Football Exclusives

Plenty of talk about how hard the team are working and how much they hurt week in week out , but not a word of praise or encouragement for the paying fans who are watching . I think the situation could be much worse at the end of games with fans voicing their disapproval towards the dug out.
And before the club seek me out at the next game , im not encouraging this behaviour.

Also in the interview Gayle pulls no punches in making out Louie T was a bad influence around the club although he doesn't obviously say as much , reading between the lines its clear

From where we stood today it was clearly a case of men V boys unlucky yes to hit the bar , unlucky yes to conceded against the run of play (managers view)

And a touch embarrassing that the away support outnumbered the home support

Week off next week , Gayle says he's looking to bring in a new forward .. Watch this space !!!!

You have hit the nail on the head, They are very lucky that the fans are not showing their disapproval at games, But when one fan steps out of line slightly the club comes down on them like a ton of bricks.

... week after week in the local paper about having good players, we're not a bottom of the league team, a settled squad, no more comings and goings and we'll climb the table just proves words are so cheap, when are we actually going to see something positive on the field before it's too late Mr Gayle?
