For those at the meeting last night we discussed the possibility of restarting an active supporters club and the committee agreed this was a good idea and would lend its support. For all those interested in helping to run this or would like an input with ideas may I suggest we arrange to meet in the Thames Bar before a coming home game? If you reply to this thread so we can arrange this get together for all those to be involved who would like to be....Rob as discussed this needs to be with your full involvement to push this forwards.

Sounds a good idea to me Dave,i'm sure it would help to bring us all together much more. Shame Chris and myself were not able to be there last night,we were committed to a very busy evening at our gardening society. We look forward to hearing about the evening sometime.
Feeling excited about the future.

Yes 6.30pm Tuesday suits me so see all interested people in the Thames Club. If anyone can't make that and is interested can they post on this thread so they can be contacted to be included

Can I just say this shouldn't be a shouting match , neither should it be a trawl through the failures of the past .
Lets make it a positive step forward .
Once the group has gathered it needs to be an organised kind of meeting rather than a group of guys/girls standing around moaning about there being no chips in the tea bar

Totally agree Andrew and I have been talking to John about a brief agenda so if I draw this up at least it will give the meeting a focus and of course it is only a draft document just intended for the first meeting

If I get out from work on time I'll be there.
Will be bitterly disappointed if we can't get chips in place soon.
We want chips! We want chips!

I will be there but probably not until 6.45 as I have to drop Liam off at Cubs (and I will also miss the actual game).
The whole message from last Thursday was positive and I think there is enough enthusiasm for a 'proper' supporters club to evolve.
Please all get you thinking caps for ideas for fundraising activities and social events. Also, any ideas that we, as supporters, can do to get more people down to Wheatsheaf Park.

Hi Steve - yes good point especially as heavy rain is also forecast later. Shall we say if game is ON we stick to 6.30pm in Thames Club and if game is OFF as the Thames Club bar will be closed shall we say 6.30pm in the bar area at the front of the gym?
