Over the river !
So with no football for the swans today I decided to catch a non league game elsewhere. At first I toyed with going to Farnborough , then after thinking what a stupid idea that would be , I crossed the river and went to Chertsey Town.
Having never visited before , I found the ground to be ok. goodish coffee, burgers looked fresh although I did pass. £8.50 entrance with a programme . All in there cant have been more than 60-70 in attendance , a few faces from Wheatsheaf Park scattered around to .
The game was a scrappy affair played out on an reasonably good pitch.
But the stand out achievement today goes to Chertsey Towns Striker John Pomroy , scoring his 300th and 301st goals for the club today ,think we can all applaud that effort.
So just thought I would spread the non league love today ..
With Farnborough winning however, I believe the large lady is in the dressing room getting ready to sing ...
And don't forget
''ITS ALL SWINGS AND ROUNDABOUTS''
