I don't think we can blame Nicky for any of the current problems, I'm actually surprised we managed to get someone I had heard of to take the job. I put full blame at Gayles door, he picked the squad and put us in the position we are.

Last night was a shambles all round..
Charging full price is in my opinion very harsh , I doubt there was even 60 of us there last night.
The Game was woeful, the players showed their usual best, but as we've seen all season their best is not good enough.
Couldn't understand taking Danny Basset of at half time. and then taking jake Kempton off was equally baffling .
I agree with Dan , Gayle is to blame for this shambles.
And I wouldn't be surprised if Forster walks away at the end of the season .

I have said all along that full price for the local cup is poor, that's why I didn't go.

Does Forster have a break clause in his contract if Staines get relegated?
Having been successful elsewhere, he clearly thought he could come in, galvanise the troops and lead them up the table ( as any confident manager would ). He didn't realise how poor the current squad is performing. With relegation a certainty now, his only option if he stays is to recruit a whole new team for next season. And i mean a whole new team - I'm sure Lodge and Worsfold will be snapped up by another local Conference South side come seasons end, and only 2-3 of the others will be any good in Ryman Premier.
Will Forster want to do that? Will he get the funding to mount a promotion challenge? This doesn't come cheap - look how much Maidstone and Margate are spending this year to get up.
Gayle left to " avoid having a relegation on his CV". Forster now has one on his. What will he do?
