I would like to reiterate Andrews response and wish Nicky Forster all the best for the future.
And for who I would like in charge now well there is only one, Scotty Taylor

Good luck to Forster and his future.
I think Steve C needs to be back with the swans! Who agrees?!
Who else has got them promoted? Who else has managed 2nd round proper in the FA cup!? Ok it's all good getting these 'ex pros' managing but it seems to show they need more experience than they've got.
BRING BACK STEVIE C

No No No, Stevie C would be a massive step backwards for the club. I admire Steve for the job he did at the time in some of our most successful years but feel a reunion now would be disastrous.

Terry Brown is out of work and has a track record of getting teams promoted? I'm assuming he wouldn't be cheap. I guess it will depend on the clubs ambition at the end of the day?

Terry Brown only works with clubs who have a lot of money ( Margate, Wimbledon, Hayes after they sold Les Ferdinand ) so he won't be coming to Staines.
What's needed is someone who can get the best out of a group of youngsters because that essentially is what Staines are now.
As Forster admitted he had overspent the budget for the first half of the season, so there won't be much left for an expensive appointment, so a man from a Football League club Academy would be my best bet.
It will be interesting. Martyn spong will presumably act as interim again ( I asume that Abercrombie has gone or will go as part of this.)

Shame to see Nicky Forster go but the results paint the picture.
It will be a shame to see Graham go if he does but as him and Nicky came together they will possibly go together.
Interesting to see who our new manager will be.
Steve Cordery would not be the answer , but we need to recruit a non-league manager with good motivational skills to arrest the current decline in fortunes on the pitch.
Could be an interesting next few days!!!

Happy new year to all the supporters-certainly did not expect to return from my travels and find us so far down the league.
and looking for a new manager.
I notice Forster mentions about overspending in the first half and I just wonder how much success at the levels we have played at over the last few seasons is budget driven-I guess it must be a fact of life that these days the majority of players will always be attracted to the clubs offering the best terms .
Having had a full time manager as we previously had and then having, I suspect , to pay his contract off ,must have put a strain on the clubs finances going into this season.
Do players these days enjoy playing soccer enough to have loyalty to a club, its supporters or a particular manager or is it more a way of earning money -how many would be prepared to continue playing for a club in return for expenses only? I simply do not know.
Some players always graft and put in 110% every week and others sometimes look as if they would prefer to be elsewhere .Is that down to self motivation or the skills of the coaching staff?
I appreciate that to play at this level the time demands for travelling to training , and games , especially away games is very significant -not easy for players when they live many miles from the club.Is it possible with all this travelling etc to give 100% to a job and 100 % to the team?
Is the clubs selection process when choosing a manager flawed-after all although both our previous two managers had excellent playing careers , from what I can see very limited experience or success in managing teams at this level on their CV .
Best wishes to all
Norm
PS Has the club explained why Lodge was released-always thought he was a guy who gave 110%
