Small steps

The road to recovery can be hard .. people always recommend taking small steps.
Last night was the start of the team taking small steps to get the season back on track .

Stability and confidence comes from winning .

I guess you can say " we should be beating teams like this" but given the previous form & results last night's game had " banana skin" written all over it .

On the pitch the team selected showed better desire and the 3-0 scoreline flattered us .

Tommy Brewer needs to stay as captain . No disrespect to Jack or Joe. .in my opinion Tommy is the the natural choice. .

On what could only be described as a frosty night the turnout was good and we the fans left happier ..

Onto Hendon. . Add o'Neil back into the squad with prince and Jack Bennett plus hopefully Gough we should look to winning .

Don't forget small steps .......

And don't forget

" it's all swings and roundabouts "

Started off at Egham last night, called off 6.50, went to Ashford as Pooley Green Road was flooded and closed, called off 7.20 but certainly struck 3rd time lucky at Staines. Never been so glad to see a car park attendant stood there I'll tell you
Thought the first half was pretty even but thought Staines were the better in the second half
Some people say 'so you should be' given the league you're in but coming on the back of a 5-1 hammering the result was what mattered
As usual I enjoyed my visit, even though it was quite fresh to say the least
Great programme by Steve and Stuart and others as usual and the cheeseburger and Bovril certainly did the job !
I thought the ref did well , got a couple of decisions wrong in my view, but was willing to play advantage where possible

Nice to see a little reaction to the game. The forum used to buzz and it is an ideal platform to get fans reactions. Hopefully things will pick up on the field, off the field and on the forum!

Much better performance than last Saturday.
Despite braving arctic conditions we looked more like a team than we did at Leatherhead and Merstham.
Winning ( as much as losing) can become a habit. Lets hope that we keep the winning habit on Saturday against Hendon.
