Relegation battle !

Nice to see so many positive remarks following yesterday's defeat . Guess it's down to me to be all "doom and gloom"
Although I would agree that the general attitude seemed better on the pitch the outcome was sadly the same ,another home defeat which has us looking over our shoulders at the drop zone .
Let's be brutally honest at the moment we are simply not a very good football team.
We need to go back to basics . Defending set pieces. Taking our chances and working as a team . The midfield need to protect the back four better.
Our 2 centre backs yesterday looked awful. Playing with no confidence at all. We need to stop playing out through the back . Hit Cox with long balls get up close to him and feed off the scraps .
I know I'm not a football genius but this seems common sense to me .
If I had to name a man of the match from yesterday it would be jack Bennett. Our only stand out player again .
The next 3 games are tough ..
So we as fans yet again will Rock up do our bit and follow the swans . Let's hope the players understand that on current form we are heading into the Ryman south .
And don't forget
"IT'S ALL SWINGS AND ROUNDABOUTS "

Totally agree with you Andrew. I would add one comment.
Thought we started the game well and looked the better side -for me the game turned when our no 11 missed a great opportunity to put us ahead -the fact that he could not hit the target from a few meters out says it all.Corner to Hendon -the usual easy goal-and then we are chasing the game.

Couldn't agree more about our 2 central defenders - both poor and where are they when defending corners and set pieces? Every time the opposition get a corner, we think probable goal here and more often than not, we're correct. Hopefully Mitchal Gough can return soon and give us some much needed defending ability. Div 1 South looks a great possibility now unless we can suddenly turn things around, I hope we can but on recent form, I can't see it.

Defensively poor again, Afraid our two starting centre backs on Saturday are not good enough (Ironic that one has played twice for Ireland) Thank-God Mitchal is back!
