Leiston Away

Once again set pieces were the downfall on the night and it was the same players who stood out and gave there all . Luke played well and showed more effort and commitment . Tommy once again showed great leadership and commitment to the team.
I think Martyn got the starting 11 totally wrong . To start Joe o Carroll over Eri is a disgrace . Joe has to be the worst Staines player I have ever seen . He bought a pillow on the coach to rest his head , he must of had it round his head during the game still because once again he didn't win a single header and just looked totally out of his comfort zone . Total lack of skill considering he got 2 caps for his country . I'm assuming they all went sick . Mitch played very well and fed Luke some fantastic passes and we looked very dangerous going forward . However the defending for the goals was very poor.
Speaking to certain players on the way home you can tell who is commited and who isn't . The 4 players I spoke with still had very positive attitudes and looked upset after the result. However other players like Joe and Michael Kalu just sat at the back not even acknowledging the fans for there support.
All I can say is that players like Joe need to be dropped . We are better playing 3 at the back with myself in the centre . I'd proberly win a header and at least look Intrested!
Saturday is a huge game and for the fans we will be there supporting and getting behind the lads .
And one final thing ... DONT WORRY... ABOUT A THING!!

Thanks for the report Pat -sadly I was unable to make the trip. I have to agree that we are in deep XXXX. If we are unable to take a point from clubs around us (Merstham/Hendon etc) I just cannot see where any points are going to come from.
We need to shake the team up a bit - seems pointless continuing with the same underperforming players. Saw a couple of the youngsters last Tuesday ,perhaps its time to gamble.

Whatever happened to old fashioned 442...?
I want to see the new striker start Saturday, he isn't going to make much of an impact in ten minutes.
