Message board

I'm thinking of closing down the message board. I remember a time when everyone posted their views after every game and we had some great discussions and debates, it was always a great read. The Internet has changed a lot over the last 15 years and the culture seems to have switched to Twitter. Although Twitter is great for news and views, it lacks the community feel of the message board and the central communication hub . I feel this culture switch is a sad thing for football as we have now lost the togetherness we once had..

I agree with you, it is a shame to loose the message board, but if none is using it then I suppose it has to go. It is not as though people are not viewing it as I see you have had 110 views on this article. you people that have viewed it get involved and lets get discussions going again.
To start the ball rolling any views on what's gone wrong with staines. The same players but no passion. Great balls going into the box but no one seems committing themselves and getting on the end of them. As for defence, or should I say lack of it. Opposition get a corner and its panic stations.

I too would be sorry to see the forum go. I don't get to every game and look to forums like this to get an independent view, but that seems to have disappeared. Perhaps as "Follow The Swans" posts on here, many think it is an official organ and as such are reluctant to put in their two pennyworth.
Last season the budget the club had meant that it spent most of the season in the bottom half. As Hippolyte said at the start of the season that the budget should be good enough for a top ten finish i think we can assume that funds are much the same this season. The departure of Louis feels like an attempt to free up some dosh - I don;t suppose he came cheap. Let's hope that the team doesn't follow a similar pattern to last term - the Maidenhead result shows it can be done.
Alas at this level of football, thems with the money are usually the ones who do well. That's just how it is.
Big game against Bognor tomorrow, who could go top with a win.

Folkestone Invicta fan here in peace.
We have a relatively active forum. Likely to be some (one sided) discussion here tonight :
