So their latest signing is Jermaine Pennant ( ex Liverpool and Arsenal ) - on a reported £3000 a week.
Takes their wage bill to over £30,000 a week ( 6+ times the average of the majority of clubs at this level).
Obscene.
God , i hope they fall on their exalted owners ars.

All I can say is that they will be under immense pressure to perform. Didn't it take AFC Dons 3 seasons to get out of the Ryman Prem? Every team will raise their game playing them so it may not be as easy a ride as some people may think. If they don't start well they may struggle under the pressure, on the other hand if they do, then they could end up walking it.
30k a week at this level is just plain silly, but with a megalomaniac Essex wide boy with no previous managerial experience in charge of the team, if things don't go exactly to plan then it could all turn nasty rather quickly.
