to those who missed last nights match, you missed what I consider one of our best performances of the season, the whole squad put in a 100% effort. They played good football against a very nearly first team squad in a higher division than us, and we took our chances. Yes we did loose a 2 goal lead but we played on and earned a penalty shoot out. All penalties were on target which was good to see, and good goalkeeping put us through to a well deserved final. Well played Staines proud to be a fan.

I was there (as you know) and agree that it was a solid team performance.
At 3-2 up going into injury time we allowed Wealdstone to equalise with what looked like a pretty weak goal , but instead of our heads dropping we stepped up to the task and won the penalty shoot out.
Nice to get to a Cup final , and the chance to win a trophy.
With the final being a couple of months away , we can now push on and hopefully secure a play-off position.
I hope so , anyway.
