Why?

Why are we persisting with 2 goalkeepers who are conceding goals for fun, Ciaran 13 goals in two games and Louis 16 goals in 4 games. Does no-one else see a problem?. How many of these goals have been conceded by the keeper playing the ball out short and it comes straight back, how many conceded from a keeper in a bad position and not up to it. If there is too be any success from this season it needs to be addressed now or we will find ourselves in the 8th tier of English football.

Your right we do need a goalkeeper, but we also need players in front of him who know what they are doing. There is more than one player at fault for the state we are in. However I think yesterdays game was unfair on the team. They get beat on a weekly basis by teams in their own league, so we play a team in a higher league, that must have done their confidence a power of good, but there is a positive from yesterday and that is they kept going. Even though they were well and truly beaten they played on to score three goals- well done them.

I agree with most of that. What I don’t agree on is there is enough talent outfield now. What we do need is a pairing in defence that can regularly play together, we haven’t had that yet due to a lot of injuries. Personally for me it’s just a keeper we need and then I think we will push on.
