Club Announcement:
The club is pleased to announce that Paul Barnes will remain as Staines Town FC manager for the coming 2020/21 season. Once we have a clear indication from the League or the FA as to when the season may start we will begin to reveal our pre-season plans.

We really do need to thank Joe Dixon for this. He has a lot going on with the Thames Club and has taken time to ensure that our manager remains in post. The team he amassed for us at very quick notice was certainly competitive and made watching the team enjoyable. That is all we can ask for the coming season. Thank you Joe and thanks Paul.

I really enjoyed the few games under Paul last year, even though we lost I thought the Chalfont game was a cracker.

There were several exciting players, hopefully they can be retained too !

This is an excellent appointment in my opinion. In the 3 games he was manager at the tail end of the aborted season the team he brought together showed a lot more passion and commitment than under the previous manager and looked like they would help the club to turn the corner and improve results.
Our last game - the 3-3 fighting draw v Northwood despite having 3 players sent off - showed that the desire to get a result was evident.
Hopefully Barnsey will be able to recruit a lot of those players for next season.
