Between Season Friendlies
Views: 1098
Seemingly friendlies are now starting to take place behind closed doors. Squads for the coming season are starting to be assimilated and players are starting to make commitments for the coming season. As far as I am aware, we have yet to announce we have a manager who can bring us a competitive squad. It does seem strange. I do hope I am being fooled and can look forward to a nice surprise.
By the way, I went up to St Thomas yesterday for my second vaccine. Spotted an albino Dalmatian. It was the least I could do for him.

Good points Arthur-at least we have a Chairman who will be working hard to sort things out.Kevin has kept the club running over the last few years with very limited resources. Look forward to supporting him on the journey .
Not sure if JD is in UK very often -it looked as if he was working primarily in USA. Also not his style to step down as Chairman thereby handing over direction of the club -hopefully we will be updated.
We must get an active commercial guy in place to kick start fund raising initiatives in addition to the hard work of the supporters club -esp John and David.Proper funding is the key point in moving the club forward.
Take care
Norm

........ so not only squads and signings, the pre-(next season) friendlies are being published ........ I hope we have a manager in waiting as I'm not sure I could manage to find my way to Egham ...... and hopefully I can still get into my loft to find my boots if required ........
and what do you call a magician who's lost his magic?

Interesting thoughts Arthur
Looking around the clubs websites it certainly looks as if many are steaming ahead with pitch reseeding-player recruitment and friendlies. It certainly suggests they are intending to play many more friendly games than normal through the summer -no doubt to raise much needed funds and get players fit after such a long lay off.
Just hope that we do not have to play "catch up " again as we have suffered enough over the last three years.
Sadly we have had no update from the club which is not an encouraging sign.
I see that Guildford under Paul Barnes have already played 4 games this month , with a number of familiar names on the teamsheet .

Interesting but still no news on what happened to our club and if the Boons made the money from the land sale ? apparently that doesn't matter anymore. Thoughts ?

I don't give a shit about the Boons at the moment
I want to know if we have a football team next year , where is the manager and squad ????? Other teams in our league have already provided fixture updates and squad retained lists.

Totally agree BBS.
Doubt that we have any retained players ,they have moved down the A3.
New manager will have to start from scratch again.
