've got a snake for sale
put it in the free ads in the local paper. Bloke rang me last night and asked how big it was, 'massive I said'
'how many feet' he said
I replied 'mate it's a snake'

Festive fun over ....... A stunning performance last night. A deserved win, a clean sheet, some good performances from new faces and sound performances from those we knew. The ref was correct in sending off someone for bad mouthing him not once but twice. Do footballers never learn from their first yellow card? And I went home with another teddy, one for each of my grandchildren.

And a Christmas present for Ron:

Yup Brynner, film star (including the King and I) but best known for his role as the TV detective Kokak. Well known for being (arguably) one of the first shaven headed actors and a well known hard. In real life it is reported he would never use after shave. In a recent interview his grandson explained that his Grandad loved football and would go to watch his beloved Liverpool every tie he was in England. When pressed on this the grandson described how, on every visit to Anfield, it always brought a tear to this "hard man's" eye when he heard the fans sing "Yum never wore cologne ......

And with that I wish each and every one of you a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful, healthy New Year.

Thanks for the joke Arthur, and you are right about the game, a well deserved win by a fully commited team. It just shows what a couple of good players can do to boost the confidence of those around them. I started the evening on a couple of tots of mulled wine and then watched a good performance from the team, and that just leaves me to sing, " were not bottom of the league for christmas nar nar nar, were not bottom for chrismas nar nar nar. Hope you all enjoy your christmas.

The supporters who were not able to make the short trip over to Chipstead-you missed a great effort by all the squad to bring home three points.Everyone worked so very hard to defend the one goal lead we took into half time. Special mention to Joe who made some terrific saves and Reece in front of him who marshalled the defence so well.Just shows that when you have a little luck anything can happen.

They all deserve to put there feet up tonight and enjoy a Red Bull (other energy drinks are available!!!) or two ready to go again on Tuesday night.

Best wishes
Norm
