STFC LTD Accounts

The accounts were filed yesterday. Effectively the Limited company owes over £200k, presumably to the owner. Unless he has promised to support the company for the foreseeable future. (now doesn't have to be published) he should be appointing receivers to wind up the company. The company cannot trade in its current state without that owner guarantee. Jokes are not appropriate at this time.

A football club that 4 years ago had net assets of £1400 now has net liabilities of £208,000 according to the micro accounts filed this week.
And no investment in the team for over 3 years.
STFC needs a miracle !!

What we do need is an owner with an ounce of decency and a backbone which we sadly dont.

I understand that an offer has been made to the supporters club that would allow that group to own the club.
However, what assets does STFC Ltd actually have?
If STFC Ltd is wound up, surely it would be possible to create STFC (2022) Ltd with new directors?
What are the chances of a new firm being able to negotiate with The Thames Club/Downing to use the ground again?

I really think this needs to be left to John and the rest of the committee. Possibly Joe may be asking for the £200k the Limited company owes him. I think the only assets are a couple of grass cutters and a line painter. There may be some office equipment as well. Joe's problem is that he bought a level 3 club that just missed the play off. I am not sure if we can compete at level 5 right now ...... and seemingly the only investment in playing staff comes from the supporters club. I am sure that Joe cannot recoup anywhere near the money he paid - the product is far less marketable.

We need to let the supporters club committee negotiate and then come back to us .....

We had a very similar issue "up North "with North Ferriby United which disappeared in 2019... but returned as North Ferriby FC as a "phoenix" club. The United owner came up with all sorts of wacky ideas before the club closed.
The "new" club had to drop a few levels but are being promoted after their first full season.

So can Staines Town United FC Ltd not be formed? It is possible some deal could be worked out with the owners of the Wheatsheaf Lane facilities?
