Staines Town FC LTD was wound up in the high court with debts of £36,666.65 which is fantastic news as it means a return to Wheatsheaf Park is now possible. The original lease stated that only Staines Town Football Club Ltd could ever play football there, however this also means that other clubs could now potentially make Wheatsheaf Park their home ground if an agreement was made with the Thames Club. We all know this is morally wrong as Wheatsheaf Park has always been the spiritual home of football in Staines so I hope common sense will prevail and it’s us that eventually get to play there. However if we do lose the ground to another club then I would hope the council would step in to help us in some way as that would be an absolute travesty so let’s hope us moving back home becomes a reality as it’s the only way forward. Promotion this season would mean that the Laleham recreation ground could not be used for that level of football…

That would leave a hard decision as to whether to keep the current 'arrangement' with Lammas going or whether there would be the possibility of a new STFC being formed from the ashes....

Firstly, I am not sure the debt to the Thames Club is even recorded in STFC Ltd books. Joe always said the main creditor (circa £200k\0 was money he had ||"loaned\' the club for legal fees. This doesn't really matter, a winding up order has been issued, The Thames Club starting the court procedings. The liquidator will be looking to realise the assets, a lawn mower, a roller and 2 kinder eggs. It is not enough to pay off any creditors and STFC Ltd will become insolvent. As for new leaseholders, we have to hope that Staines and Lammas will be able to afford the payments. A new club is a non-starter, there is no fairy godmother who has the cash to spare to take on a new lease, rise up the pyramid quickly enough to get even Isthmian League football back at Wheatsheaf Park. The main worry is that will the new club, Staines and Lammas, have facilities in place at the end of the current season. If we win the league, but can't get promotion, we lose a lot of good players at the current level. It will then be a real back to the drawing board job.

For completeness, a winding up order was issued to Fulcrum Sports Investments Limited on 6 September. If there is no reaction the company should be struck off after 2 months. The counts are overdue. This was the vehicle Joe used to channel his investment in STFC Ltd. He resigned in June, transferring control to an unknown overseas tax haven person.
I bought some powdered water last week. Any ideas what I should use to mix it?

I got my first Christmas present today ...... when I opened the Companies House website. Fulcrum Sports Investments Limited has been dissolved today; and STFC Ltd is in the process of being liquidated. The ghost of Christmas past (aka Joe) has gone; and the spirit of the future is Staines and Lammas FC. Promotion here we come please
