The anemone in my garden

I planted an anemone for this year. It flowered beautifully. When it died I cut it down and left it for next year. However, it has surprised me pleasantly. It has 4 blooms and 3 buds ....... in mid November. On. Saturday I went along to see S & L, fearing the worst. League tables don't lie. Third bottom versus third top. However, again I was pleasantly surprised. It was the new manager's first home game. We were competitive all over the park with the new squad he has assembled. We lost to a late goal but deserved more. The green shoots expected in pre-season friendlies are there table for a fiver. I know it's original because there's a bit of veneer missing!!
for all to see. Green shoots in mid November. It is onwards and upwards.

PS It made me so happy I went to a car boot sale and bought me a Van Gogh coffee
