We are getting more (AI) posters on here than we had players turning out for us in the last weeks at Wheatsheaf Park. bIn fact the crap being posted is only marginally worse than the football wee were playing, I need to say a big thank you to Russell Taylor. He transformed the Staines and Lammas side statistically taking us out of the relegation zone to mid-table mediocrity. But that is not the true picture. His side at the end of the season could, and did, compete with and beat a number of teams in the top of the league which bodes well for next season. My problem is what happens next. Is there a ceiling to our success. I understand there are five or six clubs already in the Isthmian League South Central with full time pro squads. They have playing budgets of circa £50,000 plus. Can any posters find a friend to donate a few bob?

Isthmian League South Central clubs - Step 4 - will not have full time players with a club playing budget of £50,000 per season.
A 40 week season with a club playing budget of £50,000 averages out at £1250 per week ÷ by the size of the squad ( meaning about £50 a week per player on average).
At our level - Step 6 - there are very few clubs with a playing budget.
In fact - there are a lot of clubs at Step 5 operating with no playing budget

Maidenhead lost in the first round of the play offs this year. The only way they can compete at present is because they are still getting the benefits of the Killman transfer bonus. This runs out this year and their supporters feel they will no longer be able to compete, There are talks of moving. Supporters are sceptical about where the profits on the ground sale will go. that stirs memories. There is still a big financial gap as to where success can take you unless you can find a wealthy backer with an interest in football.

I really enjoyed reading through the discussions here! It's fascinating how monkey mart is not just a theoretical concept but something that could revolutionize our understanding of communication. I wonder if applying these ideas could enhance our sports data analytics too? Thanks to everyone for sharing such thoughtful insights; it truly expands the conversation!
