Tooting & Mitcham 1 Whyteleafe 1

A biting wind and hopelessly biased Ref conspired to ruin the game as a spectacle but nonetheless we settled for the point against a T&M side who coped better with the conditions than we did.

Jamie Byatt scored the equaliser after 12 man Tooting had taken an undeserved lead and he celebrated in style in front of the Leafe Army.

The second half was a lottery of wind and Homer's whistle allowing the hosts to create most chances, but Byatt nearly stole it late on, just a couple of shoe sizes away from turning in a wicked Clayton free-kick from the right.

Take the point and look forward to playing Chipstead at Church Road next Saturday.
