A big thank you to Clive and Terry for their efforts today.

I have to say, that after a very short master class on how to paint gloss onto the handrails Clive did a fabulous job, thank you mate. Next week I will remove the numbers!

I wasn't much help - more of a distraction - but I agree with Paul Clive's gloss work was of top quality and to be admired !

Oh stop it all(both) of you,I'm blushing. It was nothing really. But I would like to thank my wife, son and daughter and mother for letting me be there. And my dogs, my agent and all of my fans for all their support. Plus my two friends and anyone else who knows me. I love you all,darlings.......

Ps what Paulo and Julie failed to say was that I missed the top 2 feet of the handrails as I couldn't reach them!
Also if we resurrect "man of the match"awards next season there will be no coin jiggling on the handrails in future. We'll have to kick on the back f the stand instead?

hand railings

Having had a quick look last night I have to say what a professional job Clive has done.

From the Railway End however it's clear that by painting the hand rails white we have unwittingly caused 'the Chatham effect' and will make the top end goal indistinguishable. Given that FA rules require goals to be white, we have no alternative but to rub down the hand rails again and repaint them Buckingham green. It is unfortunate and I hope that the tone of this email does not result in Clive feeling I am doing anything other than winding him up for comedic effect.
