Chatham 1 WFC 2

Whyteleafe progress in the F A cup with a well deserved win. Chatham were no mugs unlike the referee! We had one stonker of a penalty turned down when a Chatham defender changed sports and decided to play volleyball.

After a close first half the Leafe should of been 1 up only for J T to blast over from six yards. The second half started much the same with Leafe looking the more likely. Roscoe's return after injury made a difference up front. On 70 mins Ryan Folwer beat two players cutting in from the left and slotted the ball past the Chatham keeper. 7 mins later Leafe doubled their lead with a fine curling shot from Tommy Harper that gave the keeper no chance. However, Leafe being Leafe gave away a penalty in the 84 min which was coverted which meant the faithful had to enjoy another 10 mins with the extras. All in All another really solid performance.

My Man of the Match was:Na Na Na Na Na Na na na Tommy Smith.

Paulo

Another great performance on the road at a ground where we always seem to do well

First half was quite even but we turned on the class in the second half, was great to have Roscoe back and there was some heroic defending from Dylan and Tommy, and I concur Tommy was MOTM

Leafe is all you need

The build up to what should've been the opening goal was magnicent. Bentley dribbling through the Chatham defence, a 1-2 with Jens and then the ball laid back to JT...hey-ho it just wasn't to be.

Another great day out. Let's do it again Tuesday.

You'd better amend my report about the 1-2, I asked Viv who it was and he said it was and he said Roscoe!

Went down to the Tavern today and they said they had 'heard something about a bag' left on Monday, but then failed to locate it.

Hopefully I'll get a call saying they've found it but if not we'll have to get the ball rolling on purchasing anew banner which has been talked about before the losing of these flags.

Shame as the flags have been around for ages but I'm an absolute nightmare with losing things. I nominate Leafe of Pie to be chief flag man after this when we get a new banner or two.

Still a chance they'll turn up! Come on staff of the Tavern do your best lads

Can't disagree with anything that's already been said. Great, fun day out. Lots of laughs, lots of beers, great company and importantly a good win. Won't be able to make W & H on Tuesday as I am at a gig but already looking forward to next Saturday!

Some of my favorite days have been away trips in the Cup, and this was another cracking day out. Tommy Smith MOTM but the whole defence once again stood up to be counted.
Shame you couldn't make it, The Man Who Folded Himself. Will you be there on Tuesday?

What brings you to Maple Cross, the man who folded himself? I hope you can make it, me missed your vocal range at Chatham

I plan to be there on Tuesday, if my train from Belgium arrives on time
