Walton & Hersham 0 Whyteleafe 5

A four goal salvo in 10 second-half minutes flatters the game as a spectacle but nonetheless this was a great performance with so many positives.

The clean sheet is certainly one of them due to a really solid looking defence, masterful in the air, with Sheikh pulling off a great save at 1-0.

Splendid night again for the Leafe.

The defence has looked so assured all season, it really was no surprise to see them I'm total control again. Good support again and another away day to savour. Finally a few goals to cheer... who knows where this might end?
Roll on Saturday.

Fantastic result, 5 goals to the good and clean sheet. Doesn't get much better than that.

Have to say the Isthmian league website is crap. Hasn't got any results or table updates.

Far better to go to Footballwebpages.com Great service from them.

Does he bring a completely different dimension to our attacking options? A totally different player to Sam, Roscoe and Greg. Potential to be a tremendous "supersub" when we run out of ideas...

He made some impact after coming on last night, as the match report will testify.

Powerful and committed, he's the last thing a tiring defender needs for the last 20-30 minutes of a game.

Our defence last night were brilliant with Dylan in particular so commanding in the air.

Bentley bossed the midfield too in the absence of Jensen.

We are certainly gaining advantage from keeping last season's team intact and have carried on where we left off. So far it seems the top half of the SCEL is every bit as strong as the bottom half of the Rymans, as suspected to be honest.

Great things are happening, on and off the pitch and long may they continue.

The spirit of last season really still seems to be there at the moment, defence looked completely untroubled once again tonight.

Will just see where it goes & enjoy the ride

I really feel that I a missing out here.

Hopefully back in November, looking forward to the cold evenings in the Gold Air Stand with a burger as hand warmers, oh and a couple of pints pre match.

Fantastic period in the clubs history well done to all on and off the pitch.

One thing I noticed was that we had NO bookings in the two matches preceding the Chatham game and NO bookings again last night. But we had FIVE bookings against Chatham. Does that say more about us or about the officiation on Saturday??

I think the five bookings at Chatham were much more a testament of the refereeing 'performance' than it was on our discipline.

Found out yesterday Dylan Merchant has never been booked for us, quite something for a centre back.

Shawn Lyle's influnence a very positive one last night, he gives us options and sometimes plays the 'Roscoe role' of taking defenders away
