Unbeaten Whitstable travel to Whyteleafe tomorrow for a bound-to-be-exciting extravaganza of Ryman League football.

Allez les Verts - nous sommes le Feuille!

as they say in France

Nous surmonterons les hommes d'huîtres de Whitstable

Kick off is at 3pm.

Finished: Leafe 1 Whitstable 1

What a fabulous game for our neutrals in the bumper 229 crowd to witness.

Fine attacking football from both teams and only an astonishing string of saves by the Whitstable keeper prevented a feast of goals.

On that showing both sides could be in the mix come the spring.

What a great advert for non-league football!

Any lurkers, tell us what you thought?

Agree with you Mark. A fine game of football.

Thought we played some really good stuff. Goalie had his fair share of luck but he deserved it after his performance.

If we play like that all season it will be good to watch.

Signs of how far we have come that the players looked so disappointed to only get a point.

Ps happy birthday goal,Bentley

Pps not sure I was comfortable with the new younger brethren winding up the Whitstable fans. If the shoe was on the other foot I'm sure we would have been justifiably cheesed off as well. I know the Whitstable fans were.

Spectacular performance. 'stable looked a solid outfit without looking like thrillsters that one expects from the north Kent coast. Great chances came and went like hurling perfectly good oysters back in the ocean. Pearls an all. Roll on East Grinstead. Tuesday. Unmissable.

Another great day, except for the lack of 2 points. However, can I say a big thank you to all of our new friends from Whitstable. They got our flags back, a dozen oysters for the chairman and me (mine have just been consumed).

Think we were the better side second half but fair play to Whitstable, they looked good on the counter. Onwards and upwards. Coyl.

One of the best games I've seen at Whyteleafe. (I've been going to half a dozen games a season for the last 10 years)

One of those days where the ball just wouldn't fall for us in the box, two points dropped but another strong performance.

Decent attendance of 229, the Dulwich Marxist revolution continued with a crowd of 2,856 though, more than some league clubs get.

A thoroughly enjoyable game. One of those days where the match could have gone on for another half an hour and Whyeleafe would still have been unable to find the winner, due to the Oysters keeper.

There seems to be a very upbeat atmosphere around the club and even the bin dipper said it's the best football the team has played during his time. :-)

Good to see you at Church Road again Tim.

Our crowd of 229 was pleasing and I spoke to a few neutral visitors who were really impressed with the game, our ground and pitch.

Crowd of the day though goes to Burgess Hill who went top of the table in front of 717!

NLD seems to be really gathering momentum. A great idea whoever came up with it.

We'd have taken a point before the game so to come away with one was a bonus. We know who the true Leafe fans were as for most of our visit we were made very welcome.. Although don't know why 2 nd half you found the need to abuse our keeper one end and our fans the other!
Look forward to seeing you later in season at ours but leave your "firm"in the playground. ..

We far from abused your keeper. In fact we were full of praise for him. He seemed to enjoy any banter that went on . In fact I shook his hand at the end.
Your no 2 and 5 got some verbals but it was all good fun. You should hear us when we do really give stick!!!

I did see a bit of confrontation (verbal) at the railway end in the second half, for which I am sure all at Whyteleafe apologise, but there was no abuse of your keeper. Absolutely none.

A bit of banter, as in "I would go and buy your lottery tickets tonight keeps" in admiration of his incredible performance and, at that point luck when a goalbound header bounced out off a prostrate Leafe player on the line.

Let's not confuse two issues. It was a brilliant game, great to have some singing support from the visitors, and a fine advert for non-league football.

That's better. I thought I had gone deaf.

He is a top bloke and it was a stunning series of saves.

The best bit was when the ball bounced off our prostrate player on the line, after which the keeps turned around to us with his hands out to say "WTF happened?".

Looking forward to the return game in January.

Glad that's cleared up, the keeper got nothing but admiration. Pretty safe bet the troublemakers won't make the return trip, but beware of Mrs K when we do come. She made a devastating remark about a defender's haircut on the trip to Sittingbourne.
