Another 5-0 win - What a game!

Another brilliant game with a good crowd and lots of singing. Roscoe was unlucky not to get a hat trick and but for the East Grinstead Keeper we could have had a load more towards the end of the game.

Great all round display again, brilliant atmosphere - If you weren't there you really missed out.

Make sure you make it for the FA Cup game on Saturday home to Hastings United.

It was a pulsating display, unbelievably good football and we got the result that Saturday's display equally deserved.

I haven't enjoyed Church Road this much for a decade or more.

The whole club is just rocking! Bring on the FA Cup Saturday.

Only ten cracking goals and goal celebrations you've missed. Back for the cup though?

I have an Open University day class on Saturday at Truro (probably thought I could use a bit more time in the car) but my trusty what'sap crew will keep me updated I hope....

It was an outstanding team performance and Harper's goal was one of the best you'll see this (or any other) season. I'm still buzzing. My comments on the game are now up on the FB page here Rampant Leafe if you want to take a look.

Great evening. Only downside from my point of view is that at half time we had 8/9 East Grinstead officials eating and drinking yet after the game (with hot food provided) not one of them came into the boardroom. Poor show.

Sad that no East Grinstead officials stayed after the match ended.Wonder if it was because they are so used to their main Hospitality being at Half Time, as it was(and still is) in the SCFL.

It's a shame The Man Who Folded Himself no longer comes along. He would have loved last night.

You're right of course Clive, he was there. I'm surprised he's not been more effusive about the performance.
I've seen a lot fewer Leafe games than most of you, but it was certainly the best I've ever seen us play. That fourth goal.... We will do well to top that for a while.
Outstanding contributions from everyone and perhaps unfair to single out two, but I thought Roscoe really showed he was back to his best and Greg Andrews had an excellent game. There's a lot of competition for places up front, and it's great to see everyone starting their case.
The team spirit is palpable.

I thought Greg had his best game in a Leafe shirt and he deserved at least one goal for that performance. Also thought Bentley had a good game in his less favoured centre midfield role. But that said, overall it was a brilliant team performance and all deserve a share of the plaudits.

We shouldn't get too carried away though as we'll have much tougher games than that to come. East Grinstead are, like us, newly promoted but in their case they were promoted as runners up in the Sussex League and to be honest, on that showing, I'd expect them to struggle to stay up this season.
