I thought we played more poorly than them. We were the better team and should have won quite easily but for the fact that we are seriously underperforming at the momentum.

I think "seriously underperforming at the moment " is a trifle harsh. Granted we didn't play well today and I admit I was probably our biggest critic today at our inability to keep the ball as well as we can do, but we are 4th in the table and I think we have to remind ourselves that we have had a good start to the season.
I suppose it's testament to how far we have come in the last 15 months to register such comments and indicative to how good this team could be.

I'm slightly more positive as we played better than we did on Tuesday (not hard). We looked much the better side in the first half imo, Roscoe was in good form and New Bloke impressed in the opening 20 mins. He went quiet in a more even second half, when it's fair to say our ball retention problems resurfaced.
Overall, below the level we've been playing at for much of the season, but a step forward from midweek and most importantly, a much needed win. Certainly gave me renewed hope for the next two league matches, which look winnable.

I wasn't being harsh. We are a better. team than the last 2-3 games have suggested. We just need to believe in our own ability. Do that and we could beat anyone in this league without drastic measures.

I thought our left-hand side was very weak and vulnerable today.

I also don't understand why JT, our top goal scorer last term, is playing so deep with barely a shot on goal in the last 4-5 games.

Our season is shaping up well in what is clearly a very open league, bar Burglars Hill who we will have two crucial games with - and there's no love lost there - I just feel we could be doing even better.

Whilst I'm on a bit of a "Suggestions Box" roll, I can't help noticing that Taylor Smith has already scored 5 goals in 11 appearances for Epsom & Ewell. What am I missing?

The fact that he's happy playing for a step 5 team?

Very pleased for Taylor, great lad and getting regular football. 5 goals in 11 games, but Roscoe has scored 5 goals in 6 and Greg 7 goals in 11 at a higher level. I am sure in time Taylor will do well at this level but he wouldn't get much football at Leafe at the moment.
