Yes a fabulous result.

Great first half performance. Wonderful team goal from Roscoe then sublime volley from Greg after quick free kick from JT. Somewhat generous decision for pen converted a la JT by JT.

Conceded the softest goal in first min of second half and to be honest we looked very shaky for next 20 mins but 4th goal from Roscoe was crucial. Finished strongly with Tom Pratt scoring a fifth.

Only downside was injury to JT and Shakey(who made some great saves) was limping for most of the game.

Feet up and rest before Tuesday.

It was a great game to watch, if a little nerve-racking at the beginning of the 2nd Half.

The singing was great too, and seemed to be really appreciated by the players.

I'd like to dedicate tonight's victory to the losing teams in Mark's quiz tonight. Keep your chins up.

Farmie: "I'd like to dedicate tonight's victory to the losing teams in Mark's quiz tonight. Keep your chins up".

Very nice.

During the Intro I suggested the winning score out of 110 points would be "in the low 90s".

The winners got 92 and a half.

I've been doing this a long time....

Quiz

I ran another one last night in Nutfield.

The maximum possible score was 120 and the winning team scored 110! The second placed team got 87.

Unbelievable performance and it was quite hard to keep the energy up in the room given the early inevitability of the outcome.

I have oft pondered running a Champion of Champions Quiz for the winners of my 8 regular Annual Quizzes.

If entered, out of the 9 teams I reckon Coconut Airways would finish top half.

If I ever do this you are in.

Dedication is the word, some may say sad is the word, but me and Bob and Carol went on a scouting mission to watch our forthcoming opponents, Merstham play away at East Grinstead today.

No 10 Saviola is decent player as was right back Cooper, but the one to catch my eye was the winger Stefan Fox- very quick and tricky player.

Just about to watch X factor and video Strictly. Very sad.

Good work Clive. I call it dedication.
Were they impressive overall? After we got knocked out of the Cup by Hastings, I had a chat with one of their coaches. He was very definite that Merstham were by far the best team they had played all season. That was a few weeks ago mind.

A very enjoyable evening despite the traffic!

Most remarkably Corinthian-Casuals have transformed themselves from being a two men and a dog operation to having a vociferous and passionate supporters most of who stood behind their goal and sung all night. They were reasonably good bu sang from their mouth rather than their chests as our support generally does.

For whatever reason they left a large number of empty supermarket-bought Fosters cans behind them and I'm sure the C-C officials wouldn't have been particularly happy with that.

Anyway it certainly was the most atmosphere I've experienced in that ground and with a 200+ crowd you can see why they wanted to switch to a Friday night.

Great performance across the park again tonight. Don't think for one minute that C-C were a poor side or even a good side that played poorly. Leafe were once again in fine fettle: solid at the back, sturdy at the back and trenchant up front all pushed on throughout the game by the tremendous Leafe Army support.

Up to second. Nosebleed time?

I think a word is deserved for John, Dean, Robbie and Bob. They are doing a fantastic job. What I like is their willingness to try different things. They change the team and the tactics for each game. Last night Sam started on the right and Greg on the left and despite JT and Jensen playing they put Bentley in the hole behind Roscoe.
After Jason came on later on the right we went back to a 4-4-2 with Ryan on the left and Greg up front with Roscoe.
I don't think Casuals could handle our tactics.
They have carefully and gradually added players to increase the depth of the squad and it seems that the players have accepted that there will be some rotation and that not everyone can start each game.

Credit must also go to the Chairman for backing this relatively inexperienced team.

Lots of big tests ahead but I'm sure they are looking forward to them.

I'd like to add my two pennies worth, 'Leafe were mighty, Greg Andrews is growing on me and he is fast becoming one of my favourite players....
A special mention must go to the home fans, who made us feel very welcome and to a man came and congratulated us, a huge contrast to the other lot of so called Corinthians we played last season.
A most enjoyable match but the timing has unfortunately meant that there is no reason NOT to tackle that leaking toilet now, ho hum, see you next week....

Bloody gutted to have missed it!

Sounds like a great evening and I do like a good sing-song, especially up against some suitably vocal opposition.

The Quiz Night went very well thanks. 11th year in a row for the PTA of a Special Needs School in Reigate. Count your blessing folks.

Tuesday v the Chips, with whom we have historically this bizare unwritten arrangement it seems of winning at each other's grounds. Time to change that most definitely.
