Sad to report that Les passed away recently, Les will only be known by the senior members of the Club as he was a committee member in the 70's and earley 80's He and Wife Pam were organisrs for a while of a weekly Lotto style draw that was a good fundraiser in those times he also was well involved with the Juniors section with his sons all taking part at various times.
The funeral will be on the 14th November 2.30pm at St Lukes Church where he will be buried, the Wake will be held at the Club.

I am sure you will all join with me in sending our Condolences to Pam and the other Family members.

Tony Lidbury. President.

i remember Les been involved with the juniors and he was indeed one of my managers when i was attempting and failing to play at any level. He was always encouraging and always gave everyone a go on a Sunday morning, irrespective of their talents.
The world is always a little sadder when the true volunteers, who give their time for pleasure, not gain, play their last pass!
RIP LES.

Sad news indeed. Les and Pam were very much involved in the club.

In fact it was that Pam worked at Goldstar Publications that David Gold became involved/interest in the 'Leafe. My thoughts are with the family and I will be there. A nice man.
