Leafe 2 Worthing 3

A gut wrenching finale saw 10 man Worthing come back from 2-1 down to snatch two goals in time added on.

Ryan Fowler's second half wonder strike looked to have secured the vital and long overdue home league win but it all fell apart at the death.

I don't think it needs a post mortem and we have to concede Worthing won it fair and square.

All credit to Worthing for a very brave 2nd half performance with 10 men.

What I can't fathom out is why we looked so dangerous in the last 10 mins of the 1st half after they had a guy sent off but in the 2nd half we didn't create much.

Thanks for the new stand though.

Yep, Worthing emerge with a lot of credit from that and punished us when we failed to kill the game. John Fowler's tweet summed it up nicely. Can't blame the visiting fans for going nuts at the end either, as I'm sure we'd have done the same if the boot had been on the other foot.
Shades of Three Bridges as for the second time this season, we threw away wins by conceding twice in stoppage time. We're still in the top five though... Let's not lose sight of how far we've come.
Pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and prepare for a great occasion in the Trophy next week. The green corduroys are being readied for this one.

I had to leave 10mins from the end today...the result has come as quite a shock we were 2--1 against 10 men when I left!

You could have left 1 minute from the end with the score at 2-1 and had an even bigger shock!
