Tommy Tommy Smith

Sad to see Tommy go. He's made a fantastic contribution to the club over the last two or three years and was a hugely popular figure in the Leafe team.

But nothing lasts forever and Tommy has decided to play for Redhill. He should be available to play in their derby match with South Park tomorrow (if their pitch is OK).

I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing Tommy the very best for the future and you never know, he may play in a Whyteleafe shirt some time in the future.

This is the last picture I took of him playing for Leafe...

I am a bit gutted to see Tommy go too, a firm fans favourite and a real 100%er.

It's such a shame those various shots last Saturday didn't produce a goal, especially the screamer pushed around his post by the keeper.

I will follow his exploits at Redhill with interest, being the club I supported and regularly watched as a boy and a teen. The Cecil Road End Choir at the old Memorial Ground brings very fond memories.
