Ramsgate 1 Leafe 4

Very satisfying result against, to be fair, a poor side.

Not the most fluent of games. Greg had to be replaced by Jason Henry before kick off due to a bad back and Jason played up front with Roscoe.

Highlight of the day was a hat trick for R-O- S- C- O.....E. with 3 clinical finishes, the first after a lovely curled through ball from Sam and the 3rd after waltzing around the keeper.

Thought Jason Henry worked very hard up front and on another day could have also bagged a hat trick.

We lost a bit of shape after the two substitutions but saw it out comfortably enough.

An excellent day out. Well done to Farmie in finding the Conqueror Alehouse (Micro pub). Great entertainment in there due to Larger than life local guy called Graham. Adam (Swiss Jnr) has a friend for life in Ramsgate.

To be fair leafe were the far better team by a long way and a D'sane brace before the break put us well in control. Shortly after the break D'sane completed his hatrick then followed by a goal from Sammy. Ramsgate pulled one back straight away but Leafe saw the game out without any further problems. A special mention to Jason Henry who ran his socks off and as Clive said could of scored a few himself.

I think Ramsgate will have a bit of a battle to stay this term. Our first double of the season. Onwards and upwards. Guernsey next week and we owe them one!

Does anyone have any theories on why we are so much better away from home than at the church?

Sad I missed yesterday, sounds like cracker. I woke up at half time.

Maidstone had a similar experience in their first season on their 3G. Teams just upped their game a bit when they visited. The Stones 'aint doing too bad now so here's hoping.

Looks like I missed a great game and day out. Unfortunately I had to do something else that could not be changed.

I should be there for Guernsey though.

I missed yesterday too due to the mistaken belief that a 50 year old can still drink like he did when he was 35.

Hangover from hell.

Great result and we are clearly well in the hunt for playoffs at least.

Definitely ok for Saturday v Guernsey.

PBFC what a poor excuse.....i took in the Caterham Beer Festival, managed to get over to Great Bookham in the morning for a new wing mirror and get down to Ramsgate for 1 o'clock. It all in the prep and training!!!

I had six bottles of wine and a bottle of vodka washed down with five pints of home brew on Friday night. I ran a half marathon on Saturday morning and still made it for midday in the Conqueror Ale House and its splendid selection of hoppy ales.

Thanks to Mr Leafey Lion for his expert driving.

Looks perfect. Shame I'll be watching Millwall and Middlesbrough stutter their way through a painful 90 minutes.

'Leafing for the rest of the year, though.
