Snow in CR3

By Mrs K (legacy user)29/1/2015 17:32Thu Jan 29 17:32:08 2015

Snowed very hard and settled in Caterham Valley this afternoon, but very little in Whyteleafe at the moment.

Don't like the sound of the Met office YELLOW snow warning from the Twitter feed on the home page - don't want to be out in that!

Hope the match at East Grinstead will be on on Saturday.

It rather seemed that the referee wanted a non contact game and was more interested in stoppoing the game to have a chat.

covering their collective ar*e again. Yellow warning indeed, yet on the bbc weather forecast ( all weather people on the bbc are from the met office) they hardly mentioned it. A few wintery showers.
Having said that we had a massive hail storm in Chipstead about 4pm and then again in Merstham 20 mins later. Great fun driving home in it too!!!!
Forecast (according to bbc) is freshening winds and feeling chilly!!

Just like the BBC more than the Met Office to go OTT.

Did you miss the snowmaggedon in Caterham then? Big accumulations of white stuff earlier on (although it appeared actually to be hail) and it wasn't big.

forecast go to www.YR.NO
Its the Norwegian met office and they get our weather right more often than the met or the beeb.
I know a lot of groundsman have started using them as they just keep getting it right.

When you first go on it, obviously its in Norwegian, but just type your town in the box and select the option and it translates automatically into English. Brilliant.

I wasn't worried about the snow falling - I was worried that it was going to be Yellow - and we all know what that means!
