Corinthian-Casuals on saturday

Corinthian-Casuals travel the 13.1 miles from St George’s Field to Church Road on Saturday unless they stay overnight in the Travel Lodge on Friday.
Jimmy Hill is still the club’s President but unfortunately he is now suffering from Alzheimer’s and is unlikely to be there. He was kind enough to sign a Get Well card for me when I was in hospital many years ago. I wish you well, Jimmy.
Casuals away record this season is mixed. Won 4, Drawn 3 and Lost 9. But they will start favourites after battling to a 2-0 victory away to Hastings in the league last Monday, only 2 days after 10 men Leafe could only draw there against 13 men Hastings. Despite being in 18th position, if Casuals win their games in hand they will only be 2 points behind us.
Our away game at St George’s Field was staged on a Friday evening last October for some reason. A fantastic 5-1 scoreline to the Leafe masked a rather closer game than it suggests. A majestic first half show saw us go into the interval 3 up but an early home response sent alarm bells ringing. I had to take a walk of shame around the ground after annoying fellow Leafies by worrying that we were going to lose. Mind you, I still think I was nearly bloody right. I was welcomed back into the Leafe Army bosom after Roscoe had scored a fourth to witness Tom Pratt’s late cameo fifth. It was never in doubt really!
No lackadaisicality on Saturday boys. I might up my dosage of Fluoxetine and Lithium just in case.

I don't agree that CC will start favourites, but it will be a tough game and should be approached as such. No throwing PG Tips on the pitch this time Clive, it leaves a stain on the 3G.
