Poole Predictions

POole are top of the form guides for the past 4, 6 and 8 league games. They’re 2nd over the last 10. You’d have to be crazy to think we will win today! They’ve only lost twice since we beat them in November. We’ve only won 3 times in the league since then. They have however conceded more than a goal a game in that time (24 in 23 games). But the reason they’ve been so good is they’ve averaged 2 goals a game since then too. I can’t see anything but relegation for us today. Even if we did get a result, Hendon have a fair chance away at Dorchester. I’m again going for a 3-1 home win and hoping I get it the wrong way round!

Unfortunately I can't see anything other than a sound drubbing today.
4-0 as we say hello to step 4

Hello step 4 indeed and a likely future in the isthmian south central. currently Walton & Hersham and Basingstoke look likely to go up from that league. I think that would suit us as it would leave Northwood, Marlow and Hanworth (who are all in the playoffs currently) to stay in the league. Add in Chertsey, Southall, Uxbridge, plus potentially Ashford Town and Bedfont Sports and we have some pretty local games. There may also be games against former Isthmian foes Leatherhead and Merstham and current projections have Ascot United and Egham Town promoted into the league too. A trip to Guernsey (I believe they pay for our flights/accommodation) is also a fun one.

If the club do as they state and intend to bring in an experienced manager and support him (though the rumour of the budget dissuades this), then we could have an exciting season next year. I doubt we will be title challengers, I just never associate Boro with that, and the league will be tough, but I think we could definitely be in the playoffs with the right appointment and backing from the board. Here’s to the Middx cup final and a positive summer break!

A Harrow side pushing for the top six rather than trying to stay out of the relegation zone would make a nice change.
Guernsey away will probably be on a Tuesday night in January knowing our luck.
